VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS – DUMP TRAILER RENTAL
For Self Service: Please have a valid driver's license and proof of current insurance for the tow vehicle.
For Full Service: Please have a valid identification card
- There is a renters contract to fill out and sign
- Cash only and full payment is due up front

To safely tow the dump trailer and minimize damage to your vehcile and the dumpster the following is required.
The dumpster itself weights about 4,500lbs with 14k combined axels. The MAX working weight is 8,000 lbs or 4 tons. If you are maxing out the load of the trailer you are at 12,500lbs. Your vehicle and your hitch must be able to handle this.
No Concrete or Boulder Size Rocks Permitted
Minimum Tow Vehicle
- 1/2 ton truck or larger required
(Examples: Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado 1500, Ram 1500 or larger)
- 3/4 ton or 1-ton truck recommended for heavy loads (dirt, roofing, etc.)
Towing Capacity
- Vehicle must be rated to tow at least 10,000 lbs
- Trailer GVWR is approximately 12,500 lbs max capacity
- Customer is responsible for staying within their vehicle’s towing limits
Hitch Requirements
- 2-5/16” ball hitch required
- Class IV or Class V hitch receiver. This means your hitch must be rated to handle upwards of 12,500lbs if maxing out the dumpsters load limit
- Hitch must be properly mounted and secure
Electrical Connection
- 7-pin round trailer plug required
- Must be fully functional (lights, turn signals, trailer brakes)
Brake Controller
- Electric brake controller required
- Must be installed and working properly
Vehicle Condition
- Vehicle must be in safe operating condition
- Tires in good condition
- Proper tire pressure
- No known mechanical issues
Not Allowed
- SUVs, crossovers, or vans (unless pre-approved with proper tow package)
- 2” ball hitches
- Vehicles without brake controllers
- Any unsafe or overloaded towing setup
Important Notes
- We reserve the right to deny rental if vehicle does not meet safety standards
- Customer assumes full responsibility for safe towing and load handling
- Improper towing setup may result in denied rental without refund
